Polina Kesov, Making Insurance Clear, Human and Truly Supportive

This month, we are delighted to spotlight Polina Kesov, the heart and expertise behind ii-A. For 25 years, Polina has helped business owners protect what matters most by making insurance simple, practical and human. She believes clarity is everything and that people deserve honest conversations, not confusing jargon.

What stands out most about Polina is the way she leads with connection. She shows up with warmth, integrity and a genuine desire to help people feel supported in business and in life. Since joining Brava, she has brought steady encouragement, thoughtful insight and a willingness to be real. She reminds us that community grows stronger when we show up as ourselves.

We recently sat down with Polina to talk about networking, business growth and the bold moments that shape us.

Polina’s Interview:

  • The moment it clicked for me was when I realised that every significant opportunity in my business came from a person, not a platform. I started to see a pattern. The best clients, partnerships, ideas and referrals always came through a conversation, an introduction or a relationship I had taken the time to build.

Once I understood that, everything changed. Networking stopped being something I should do and became something I prioritised. It was never about selling. It was about staying curious, showing up and letting people get to know the real person behind the business. That shift opened more doors than any marketing strategy ever has.

  • I can’t narrow it down to just one connection because every relationship I have formed through Brava has mattered. The women I have met here have become a real support network for me. They are people I can learn from, lean on and celebrate wins with.

It is not about one standout opportunity. It is the collective strength of the community that has made a difference. Each connection, in its own way, has contributed to my growth both personally and professionally.

  • One piece of advice I wish I had understood earlier is the importance of building as many genuine connections as possible without trying to sell to anyone. When I first started, I thought business growth came from pitching. Over time I realised it actually comes from relationships.

The more you focus on getting to know people, understanding what matters to them and staying connected, the more naturally opportunities come your way. If I had known that from day one, I would have approached networking very differently.

  • The mindset that has helped me the most is accepting that challenges are part of business, not a sign that something is wrong. I remind myself that every difficult period eventually passes and each one teaches me something I didn’t know before.

Focusing on progress rather than perfection keeps me moving. I also lean on the relationships I have built. Having a network to talk things through makes even the hardest days feel manageable.

  • Over the next 12 months, I want to continue strengthening the way my business supports clients and expand the relationships that help us do that. My focus is on building deeper partnerships, increasing visibility and creating more consistency in how we show up for the people we work with.

Networking plays a central role in that vision because every meaningful opportunity comes from a conversation. Staying connected, meeting new people and nurturing existing relationships gives me insight, support and collaboration that I cannot get anywhere else. It is the foundation for sustainable growth.

  • My Brava Bold Move was choosing to show up openly during a time when things in my business felt difficult. Instead of stepping back, I made the decision to attend events, stay connected and be honest about what I was navigating.

It was uncomfortable to not have everything perfectly under control but the support I received confirmed that courage often looks like allowing yourself to be seen. That moment reminded me that strength is built through connection, not isolation.

Thank you, Polina, for sharing your story, your insight and your courage with the Brava community. Your commitment to clarity, honesty and connection is a powerful reminder of what it means to lead with heart. We are so proud to support you as you continue to grow, expand your impact and make bold moves in business.
