This month, we are proud to spotlight Mary Maatouk, the Owner and Founder of Maatouk Property Advocates. Mary is a passionate property advocate, proud mum and community-minded business owner who is deeply committed to helping buyers and sellers achieve exceptional results, with a strong focus on supporting and empowering women to navigate the property market with confidence.

With a background in building and construction, along with extensive experience as an educator, coach and mentor, Mary brings clarity, reassurance and thoughtful strategy to every client journey. Her own life experiences have shaped her resilience and purpose, fuelling her commitment to advocacy, education and informed decision-making. At her core, Mary believes in service, community and helping people feel supported during some of life’s biggest decisions.

Mary’s Interview:

• What was the moment you realised networking was a game changer for your business?

  For me, it was about meeting amazing people, learning from what they do and supporting others to grow their businesses. Being around people who are open, generous and willing to share their experiences has been incredibly powerful.

• What is one connection you made through Brava that led to a meaningful opportunity, big or small?

  Dhea and Christine. Through Brava, I learned more about having a virtual assistant and how that kind of support can make a real difference in business.

• What is one piece of business advice you wish you had known when you started?

  Share your story, even if you think no one wants to hear it. Your story is your testimony and it is powerful.

• What business belief or mindset has helped you stay motivated during challenging times?

  Knowing that I am helping people not get taken advantage of by agents. That sense of purpose keeps me going, even when things feel challenging.

• How do you want your business or impact to grow over the next 12 months, and how does networking support that vision?

  I would love to add another advocate who shares the same values, so we can help more women achieve their property goals.

  Networking supports that vision by introducing me to women, their friends and their families who need guidance and support in the property market, whether they are buying or selling.
