What to expect at our Brava women in business networking events:

Brava Women Networking has been bringing together amazing women in business for over 10 years, and we’d love for you to join us on the 2nd Tuesday of each month in Brighton.

We’ll kick things off with our Marketing Minute, where you can share your latest business updates, followed by an inspiring session with our guest speaker.

Guest Speaker : Jane Del Rosso

Jen Del Rosso is the founder and owner of Australia's first dedicated kitchen incubator, My Other Kitchen, and The Business of Food consultancy.

A corporate escapee from the “big” end of town, Jen left her career in project management and followed her passion into the kitchens of Melbourne in pursuit of a real food culture.

Jen set up the first Australian kitchen incubator in 2008, providing compliant space for new food business owners to make new food products, explore ideas, and increase their chances of seeing their food products on a retail shelf.

Today, The Business of Food's vision is to change the notoriously low success rate of small business in the food industry by minimising the risks of starting a food business and building and connecting a supportive network of other service providers new owners in the food industry will need.

Why Collaboration is the Secret Ingredient for Women in Food Startups

Turning an idea into a business can be exciting, but it can also come with plenty of questions about what to do next.

In this practical and inspiring session, Jen will explore the role collaboration plays in helping food businesses move forward, sharing real examples of business owners, their products, and the people who have contributed to their success through The Business of Food.

In this session, we'll explore:

✔️ Your Friends Tell You “You Should Sell This”… What Next?
Explore what comes after that first encouragement and the next steps involved in taking a food idea further.

✔️ The Role of Collaboration – It Really Does Take a Village
Discover why collaboration plays such an important role in building a food business and why you don't have to do everything yourself.

✔️ Collaborative Case Studies
Hear real examples of food business owners and their products, and the important role collaboration has played in their continuing success.

What You'll Walk Away With

✔️ A better understanding of what comes after having a food business idea

✔️ Insights into the role collaboration can play in building a business

✔️ Real examples of food businesses and collaborative relationships

✔️ Inspiration from business owners and their products
